A New Year message, 2006

From the Editor, Robert Lorimor
It’s been over a year since Bangkok Jungle opened its website. For the most part, running The Jungle has been fun and we will continue; a few surprises along the way have made it interesting. Besides, we also have some loyal readers out there and it hurts me to think of disappointing them.

It’s time to give a few deserved THANKS.

The biggest surprise in our first year was the amount of work required to keep The Jungle afloat. The site would not be possible without its regular columnists, Jeff T, Zen Delta, Benny White, and Dr. Roland. A BIG THANKS for their passion for the music. You guys are the real deal. And you do it all without asking for anything in return.

A SPECIAL THANKS to Ooy Kethphung who edits our events and writes her Thai Tidbits column. She somehow manages to fit us into her busy university schedule and never falls behind. She, being Thai, helps keeps us straight because we something forget we are in a Thailand.

More THANKS for Johnny Descamps, Kelvin Thompson, Paul Williams from Noriega’s, Gary Manfredi, Adam Ryan, Kevin Wood, Ricardo Alexander, Tom Hoy (it’s his saxophone in the Bangkok Jungle banner photo), Scotty Wright, Jay from Tokyo Joes, Peter Ostergard, George Yamomoto, Randy Cannon, Chris from the Dogs, Fionna Chocatelli, John Dooley, Dale Lee, Vincent, Mia Livingston, Earth, Toppy Tariasin, Guy Baker, Konstantin Papadouis, Joel, Bee Peamsakon, Les G. King (he’s one story we missed covering before left Thailand for work), Rick and Iggy, Richie Walker, and others. Collectively, you have helped make this site a success.

And finally, ANOTHER BIG THANKS to our readers who keep returning over and over. We do it all for you.

    To the Editor,

I support Bangkokjungle.com for it’s continuation as long as it takes.Bob Lorimor has been working so hard to improve the website.I think we should all help keep this website alive as long as possible. After all it’s our concern especially for the artists, musicians, entertainers etc…. mostly among the expatriates
    as well as Thais.
