The Cruisers may not be the best band in the world but apparently they might be the best dressed. Frontman Peter Driscoll has just allegedly spent the entire Cruisers earnings for the month of August on new kit, including a pink, tailor-made suit and other colourful gear to help paint the town. (See the Cruisers at Noriega’s Thursday nights at 9pm and Saturday nights at 11pm.)

And on top of that he has ordered a pink, Paisley-patterned James Burton Telecaster from his favourite London music store!

The smooth crooner has advised this channel that he accordingly wishes to be nominated for one of the annual BangkokJungle showbiz awards - THE BANGERS - in the best-dressed category and we have to admit he is elegible. The BANGERS are awarded in December every year for the best of everything in Bangkok’s music biz with a few special categories, and all awarded just in time for the kick-ass, award-winning party of the year.

The BANGERS categories are as follows: BEST SINGER (male/female), BEST BAND (all genres), BEST BLUES BAND, BEST POP BAND, BEST JAZZ BAND, BEST COUNTRY/FOLK BAND, BEST GUITAR, BEST BASS, BEST DRUMMER, BEST FOLK/ACOUSTIC MUSICIAN, BEST DRESSED (male/female) and BEST MUSIC VENUE.
