The Thai Day website has this interesting article about the Bangkok Jazz Festival held last weekend. Here is a quote:

Since jazz festivals seem de rigeur in the cool season, my only Christmas wish is that next year’s event will have more bite than a fluffy web of cotton candy (some straight-ahead jazz would a good start). But it looks like Bangkokians still have a sweet tooth.
