Kenny Garrett For Hua Hin Jazz Fest
Ace alto sax player Kenny Garrett’s agent tells our correspondent that KG has been booked for the 2008 Hua Hin Jazz Festival, joining Mike Stern and Dave Weckl who we reported earlier were also booked. Very unlikely Stern and post bop Garrett could be playing together being out of different jazz camps, but we have yet to hear who else Stern and Garrett are bringing to the party. We’ll be in touch!

Its great to hear Kenny Garrett going to perform in Hua Hin this year. Hope they have 2 stages like 2 years ago. It would however be great to know when exactly the date of the Hua Hin Jazz Fest for this year since no one seems to be able to confirm the date.

The dates are June 13th and 14th.

Glad they changed the dates from the original June 6-8. Now at least it jibes with Mike Stern’s tour dates — his web site says he’ll be in “Bangkok” June 14th.
