1st Mango Dust Tone Lab Great Success

Toys are yuz!A number of guitarists including Golf T-Bone, Mekong Doctor Blues, Jeff Soi Dog and Vancouver Tom Martin, as well as some leading local pedal reps, turned up for the first Mango Dust Tone Lab held at Tokyo Joe’s on Sukhumvit Soi 26 Sunday.

News is that already amp, drum, cymbal, FX pedal and guitar agents are queuing up to hold their own meet-the-customer clinics at Joe’s where the presenters and their sponsors have the option to educate, promote and sell under a user-friendly roof with all the seminar facilities and tools at hand - food, beverage, stage, sound system and loads of room.

Contact Jeff T on info@tokyojoesbkk.com or Mango Dust at mangodust@gmail.com for booking information or to rent a room daytimes.

For the punters, these informal meets allow axe aces to test their tone pedals against rival manufacturers, try new sounds, swap sound effects and effects pedals and even sell what they don’t want to their peers. Plenty of amps are available to try and find the new sound of the century, with special guests to give it up on what do with which amp and pedal and when or if!

It may be a tad noisy but there’s a buffet too and it is for serious players who need to shell out 200 Baht admission for the food and soft drinks and power, while beer will be on tap but at your own expense.

Take along your pedals to trade and who knows you might get a little business going too because these are planned to be a regular thang!

If it gets too busy it will be members only, so be early at the first ones!
