The man who put a joyous wrinkle in the local music scene over the years – the one and only Ricardo Alexander - as he aspired to be the doyen of all things tortured, tasteless and totally fun, is leaving us.

And NO!…it is not to get a new visa but to start his own music venue and nosh shop in Spain where the rain falls mainly on the plain, we seem to recall.

After wreaking musical havoc with some style and aplomb it is no surprise that Ricardo is going out with class to spare with a venue and gig to finally hang his hat, with his very own farewell party Friday June 1 at the Jazzit Club on RCA.

Catch Ricardo laying it down and out with his loyal band of troopers the Drunken Munkees and Chicago groove merchant DJ Duke on boards- and all for 100 Baht and a drink thrown in!

Be there and cry/rejoice into your beer as Ricardo lays the ghosts of punk and circumstance to rest…it’s been fun having him here and let’s hope the price of air tickets to Spain fall soon!
