The good news is that Australian jazz trumpet James Morrison is inbound and plays the Thai Cultural Centre October 6 at about 7 pm. Please can we have some more? It’s kinda weird that a country with so few punters yet so many brill musicians and so close to Asia has not established itself as a dominating or at the very least a pioneering musical force in the region.Oz has established traditions in all genres yet her great musos rarely come here and show us how it’s done. Shame really ‘cause I’m dying to hear The Audrey’s live just for one example! Yeah they send Tommy Immanuel and Air Supply…even Sherbet recently. But let’s face it, Oz has some of the best little bands in the world and some very cool jazz heads too, not forgetting Frank Gambale and company. Anyway
