QUEEN Plan Studio Album, Tour
Queen has announced it will embark on a world tour starting in mid-September, again with guest singer Paul Rodgers, formerly of Bad Company and Free. They have also recorded a new studio album together, which is expected out September 1st, www.blabbermouth.com reports. However, no dates in North America have yet been announced.
Queen & Paul Rodgers released a live album and DVD, called Return of the Champions, in 2006. Rodgers’ solo CD/DVD Live In Glasgow was released in 2007 and he is currently touring with his own band.
The band currently features two original members, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor. Queen’s original frontman and founding member, Freddie Mercury, died of AIDS-related illness in 1991.
